Reference number : 1264059 The Municipality of Béarn requests bids for the construction of a new municipal garage located at 16 Penetration Road in Béarn. This work is more fully described in the plans and specifications of the project prepared by the architect. To be admissible, bids must be accompanied by a bid bond from an insurance company authorized by the Autorité des marchés financiers to do business in Québec, established at an amount equivalent to 10% of the total cost. of the bid, all taxes included and valid for a period of 90 days from the date of bid opening, or a check in the amount of 10% of the total cost of the bid inclusive of taxes. The bonds will be issued in the name of the Municipality of Béarn. Bidders wishing to make a site visit or who wish to obtain additional information regarding this project or the construction site should contact Ms. Lynda Gaudet, General Manager or Alexandre Cameron, Architect, at the following address: Phone 819 762-2328, extension 243. Only contractors who hold the licenses required under the Construction Contractors Professional Qualification Act, issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec and in force at the time of the opening of tenders, are eligible to tender. The bidding contractors are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for the content of their bid, and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licenses. The Municipality of Béarn undertakes to retain neither the lowest nor any of the submitted tenders and reserves the right to cancel the call for tenders. Bidders are not entitled to any compensation for the costs incurred in obtaining tender documents and for the preparation and submission of their bid.The guarantee of performance must be an amount equivalent to 50% of the total amount of contract.
