Well Cleaning and Redevelopment and Repair at Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery. Set-Aside : NO Qualified Partnership : NO The Contactor shall provide all labor, material, chemicals and equipment to satisfactorily clean and redevelop Well #7 at the Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery using the Aquafreed (liquid CO2) process or approved equal. Well #7 has a 50 Hp, 460 volt, 3 phase US motor that spins an American Marsh 11 HC 4 stage vertical turbine pump. It has a 16" diameter well casing with an 8" diameter column pipe and a 1 - 3/16" stainless steel shaft. It has a depth of 61' 9" and a screen length of 20'. The contractor shall conduct a video inspection of the well before and after reconditioning. The contractor shall also determine the specific capacity of the well before and after redevelopment. 1. Mobilize/demobilize injection and redevelopment equipment 2. Remove pumping equipment, reinstall pumping equipment, run pump performance test before and after well cleaning, disassemble pump, steam clean and inspect pump condition. Recommend well component repair or replacement if necessary. 3. Set up and tear down CO2 injection equipment 4. CO2 injection (two days of injections). 5. Set up and tear down Redevelopment equipment. Estimated 5 days on site from set up to tear down of equipment. 6. Redevelopment machine time - estimated 40 hours 7. Video inspection of the well casing and screening following removal of the pumping equipment and after cleaning is complete before installation of the pumping equipment and supply a DVD copy to the customer. 8. Specific capacity of the well in gallons per foot of drawdown shall be supplied to the customer pre and post cleaning. A written specific capacity report will be required.
