No pre-bid meeting is scheduled. Contractors are encouraged to review the site prior to bidding. Each bidder shall submit with their bid, either a bid guaranty and contract bond, or a certified check or proposal bond in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of his or her total bid, payable to CopleyFairlawn City School District, as surety that if said bid is accepted, the bidder will enter into and satisfactorily secure a contract. The successful bidder shall submit within ten days of written notification of bid acceptance, a satisfactory performance and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount both payable to Copley-Fairlawn City Schools. After submitting, no bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening. Successful bidders shall comply with all federal and state laws pertaining to equal employment opportunities. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsible bid as determined by the owner, and Copley-Fairlawn City School District may waive informalities and reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against Copley-Fairlawn City School District. Address proposals to Copley-Fairlawn City Schools, 3797 Ridgewood Road, Copley, Ohio 44321, endorsing thereon Proposal for the Copley High School Synthetic Turf Replacement, and include the full name and address of the bidder.
