The Town of Southbury seeks a qualified Electrical Contractor(s) to install retrofit kits and associated lighting parts on the Streetscape lighting along Main Street South. The Town of Southbury has initiated a program to replace the existing light assemblies currently installed in approximately 241 streetlamps along Main Street South. This RFP solicits bids from qualified Electricians to perform the physical and electrical upgrades to modern LED type lights. The Town of Southbury will procure all of the replacement LED light assemblies and will make the LED Upgrade Kits available to the selected electrician(s) who will then perform the removal of existing Induction light assemblies, the existing ballasts, and installation and testing of the Upgrade Kit. Prior to responding to this RFP, in order for bidders to understand the retrofit process, bidders are required to contact the Public Works Department and arrange a meeting to view the actual LED light assembly that will be retrofitted Requests for Information (RFIs) and appointment requests with Mr. Cottell regarding this proposal are to be in writing and will be accepted until 11 am on December 27, 2018. RFIs are to be emailed to John F.
