This Contract provides for crushing and stockpiling Crushed Surfacing Top Course, Crushed Surfacing Base Course and Crushed Screening 14 In. - No. 4, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The Douglas County in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid shall accompany all bids. All bids shall be marked "2019 COUNTY WIDE CRUSHING" TO BE OPENED ON JANUARY 7, 2019 AT 10:00 AM" on the outside of the envelope. Sealed bids may not be submitted by facsimile or other electronic or data transmission. Bidders are advised to read all pertinent provisions regarding the submittal of DBE documentation. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids for cause. Bid Range is $1.1 Mil - $1.4 Mil.
