The intent of this Advertisement for Bids is to obtain an offer to perform work to complete the Facility Entrance Replacements at Selected Locations - Phase 1 located at Lake View Elementary and LaFollette High Schools, Madison, Wisconsin, for a Stipulated Sum Contract in accordance with the Contract Documents. Scope of work is shown on drawings, and as specified herein. 1. Scope of work is shown on drawings, and as specified herein. a. In general, the scope for this project includes a Base Bid for the installation of entrances as designated for each location per the drawings. Work is for infill of rough openings with aluminum storefront frames, FRP doors, glazing and hardware. 1) Contractor shall maintain entrance to allow for emergency egress as the facility will be occupied for the duration of the work. Contractor shall be responsible for removal of the temporary enclosure installed by others as part of the demolition. 2) Any existing conditions/materials damaged are to be replaced as part of this contract. Security hardware components being installed are by Owner. 3) Existing lintels and openings are to remain as is. b. Demolition of existing components will be by Others. 1) The entrances will be provided with a temporary enclosure following demolition.
