**As of today January 25, 2019 this project has been awarded. Awarded amount is $423,488.30. ** No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days except as specifically may be provided in the Instructions to Bidders and/or by State Law. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all equipment and materials, and performing all labor necessary to remove accumulated sediment from the ponds using hydraulic dredging methods and dewatering onsite as indicated herein. The work includes on-site dewatering; all costs associated with pumping, removal, and off-site disposal where indicated including transport services necessary for disposal; soil erosion and sediment control; and all appurtenances necessary. The dredging operations must be completed simultaneously or in the following sequence of priorities: 1.) Big Creek WTP, 2.) Dearing LAS, and 3.) Mattox Creek. Time allotted for completion of work is 90 calendar days. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract.A copy of your check is needed in order to ship the bidding documents. You can fax it to the fax number above or email a scanned copy to hcash@cartersloope.com. All documents will be shipped via UPS Ground. If you choose to have them shipped overnight or via another carrier, please submit your Fed Ex overnight or UPS Express account number. Electronic copies of plans and specifications will be available upon request (PDF format only) for Bidders who have purchased paper documents. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Permits/agencies status A. Us army corps of engineers not required 1.6 georgia security and immigration compliance act affidavit All qualifying contractors and subcontractors performing work with the city of thomson must register and participate in the federal work authorization program commonly known as e-verify, or any subsequent replacement program, to verify the work eligibility information of new employees. In order for a bid to be considered, it is mandatory that the bidder's affidavit of compliance with o.C.G.A. 13-10-91 be completed and submitted with the bid. Funding is provided by the city's r&e fund. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any bidder if owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project to make an award to that bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the owner.
