The Work of this Contract generally consists of the removal and replacement of a concrete roof and ductile iron access hatch on a subgrade waste storage vault, replacement of a polyethylene storage tank with associated process piping, fittings, and appurtenances, provide a level sensor with associated electrical and instrumentation conduits and wiring, and aeration tower cleaning, media replacement, and miscellaneous tower repairs including pit welding and plate welding at the White Lodge Treatment Plant. The work also includes installation of an air exchange system at the Gay Street subgrade booster pump station with associated electrical conduits and wiring, and aeration tower cleaning, media replacement, and miscellaneous tower repairs including pit welding and plate welding at the Bridge Street Treatment Plant. Inspection of the aeration towers at the White Lodge Treatment Plant and the Bridge Street Treatment Plant by a qualified tank inspection company is required while the aeration towers are off line following cleaning to identify additional work items for repair. Inspection to be paid directly by Engineer.
