General work description: Remove existing lead-based paint coating and replace with a non-hazardous paint coating. You must perform, place, construct, or install other items and details not mentioned that are required of the plans under the Standard Specifications and special provisions. The estimated construction cost is $918,830.00 Bidders are advised that, as required by federal law, the County of Lake is implementing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements for this project. The DBE goal for this project is (4%) four percent. These wage rates are included in the Bid book for the project. Changes in general prevailing wage determinations apply to the Contract when the Director of Industrial Relations has issued them at least 10 days before advertisement (Labor Code 1/2 1773.6 and 8 CA Code of Regulations 16204). All labor on this project shall be paid at not less than the greater of the minimum wage rates established by the U.S. Secretary of Labor (Federal Wage Rates), or by the State of California's Director of Industrial Relations (State Wage Rates)), in accordance with the provisions of these specifications.
