Osceola County Board of County Commissioners is seeking bids from Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pre-qualified contractors to provide Construction Services for the Neptune Road Widening from Partin Settlement to South of Kings Crest Road (Federal-Aid Funded LAP FPID 445415-3-58-01 / FAN: D523-042-B. The Neptune Road reconstruction project is with Osceola County. This project will reconstruct Neptune Road (County Road 525) from Partin Settlement Road to south of Kings Crest Road from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban roadway for a total length of 1.419 miles. This project will reconstruct Neptune Road (County Road 525) from Partin Settlement Road to south of Kings Crest Road from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban roadway for a total length of 1.419 miles. The typical section will consist of two 11-foot travel lanes, a 4-foot bike lane, and a 12-ft shared use path in each direction, separated by a 22-ft raised median. The project includes the reconstruction of the triple 8-ft by 9-ft bridge culvert over the Partin-Settlement/Fish Lake Canal (924225). Other improvements include the widening of Cross Prairie Parkway both north and southbound to provide a 4-ft traffic separator and designated dual left turn lanes. Roadway improvements include milling and resurfacing, roadway reconstruction/widening, driveway reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter, traffic separators, sidewalk, guardrail, riprap rubble installation, and drainage improvements. Driveways along the project limits will be reconstructed. Construction of a gravity wall and handrail is required due to grade differences in some areas. The drainage improvements include a stormwater treatment pond, canal grading, inlets, drainage pipes, end treatments, and manholes. Other construction elements include mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, to include removal of existing structures (from property purchased during right of way phase), removal of existing box culvert, removal of existing concrete, regular and subsoil excavation, embankment, and sod. Additional activities include signing and pavement markings, signalization, installation of intelligent transportation systems, and lighting. Lighting improvements are proposed throughout the project limits and will include installation of conduit and pull boxes. Light poles and luminaries will be installed by Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA). This project consists of the installation of water, reclaimed water, and force main relocations along Neptune Road, Osceola County, Florida. The project includes relocation of TWA existing utilities as shown to avoid conflicts with the proposed County roadway project. The project includes approximately 1,865 LF of DI or PVC water main ranging in size from 8" to 12", and approximately 69 LF of 8" DI or PVC reclaimed water main. This project also includes the abandonment and grout filling of approximately 3,249 LF of 6" HDPE force main, approximately 920 LF of 8" HDPE water main, and the removal of approximately 450 LF of 8" PVC water main, approximately 31 LF of 12" PVC water main, and approximately 239 LF of 6" HDPE force main along the project limits.
