Installation of a UV disinfection system which is capable of being upgraded to UV AOP treatment in the future, treatment of settled residuals at a new Thickening and Dewatering Treatment Facility (referred to as the RMF Building or Dewatering Building) and electrical substation upgrades to supply power to the UV AOP and RMF Facility. TIMELINE: The Consultant has completed Field Survey, Data Collection, Investigations, Technical Memorandums, Value Engineering, Equipment Pre-Selection, Contractor Pre-Qualification, Studies, Pilot Testing, Condition Assessments at Island WTP. Detailed design is complete. Trojan Technologies is undertaking Pre-selection of Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection Equipment as of early 2021. The Pre-Selection of an Equipment Supplier for the site was issued summer, 2021. Subsequent tender and construction schedules for this project are expected spring, 2024 based on capital funding allocation. *Funding has been allocated in the Toronto Water 2018 Approved Capital Budget and 2019 to 2027 Approved Capital Plan.
