Construction of the third link between Levis and Quebec: a tunnel of about nine kilometres connecting Felix-Leclerc Hwy 40 on the North and Jean-Lesage Hwy 20 in Levis. Project # 154170942. TIMELINE: Conceptual design and preliminary studies are underway and expected to be completed by summer, 2023. Process selection of a supplier of technical elements is anticipated in winter, 2022/2023. Project will need environmental approvals. Further project development will be established based on the conceptual design and preliminary studies outcome. The whole project including construction work is estimated at $6,500,000,000. NOTES: Contract for consulting services to complete conceptual design and participate in the prequalification process has been awarded following request for proposals # 3602-21-ZX01. Consortium of consultants (SNC-Lavalin inc and Englobe) got awarded to complete an environmental assessment study. The owner has awarded a joint venture of engineering professional consulting firms (Englobe and SNC-Lavalin) to complete on request geo-technical surveys in land and marine environments following the request for proposals # 3601-19-QA01. Consultants with architectural expertise to provide their services during the preparation phases for the bridge part of the project have been awarded following request for proposals # 7121-16-ZZ03.
