The project involves the replacement of the existing building at Northwood High School. Additionally, it includes facility upgrades and an addition. Bids shall be submitted utilizing both prevailing and non-prevailing wages. The wage determination is included in the bidding documents. All bidders are required to submit bids based upon both. Failure to provide a complete bid, with all pricing may result in a non-responsive bid. Bids received from companies not qualified will not be considered. Contractors for the school project contemplated by this Notice will only be approved if the Construction Manager and MCPS deem them to be fully qualified and responsible. MCPS considers the ability and reliability to timely complete projects to be a critical aspect of being fully qualified and responsible. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept any of the bids for Alternate work submitted, and may accept Alternates in any order or combination, unless specifically provided in the Contract Documents. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informalities or immaterial deviations in the bids, or to reject, any or all bids.
