The City of Conneaut (City) is soliciting proposals to select a vendor for the collection, transportation and delivery for disposal or processing of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials generated by Residential Units, Municipal Facilities and during Special Events (Required Services). The Joint Bid Process offers an opportunity to provide the Required Services to approximately 4,477 households. The City will individually evaluate and award a contract for the Required Services based upon its own bid and contract award requirements. Bids will be accepted for a three year term with two one year extensions and shall be provided for a not-to-exceed price per Residential Unit per Month. The price shall also include the cost of collection and provision of containers at Community facilities and during Special Events. Bids for Required Services shall include all costs for collection, transportation and delivery for disposal or processing of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials, including but not limited to governmental fees and/or tipping fees, and provision of collection containers. If selected, Bidders must secure a Performance Bond as required by the City for provision of the Required Services. All Bids shall be: (a) submitted on the appropriate Bid Forms contained in the Bid Documents; (b) contain all information and documentation as required by the Bid Documents; and (c) be returned in a sealed envelope or package, hand-delivered or mailed to: Mr. Jim Hockaday, City of Conneaut City Manager, 294 Main Street, Conneaut, Ohio 44030, by 10:30 a.m. on March 4, 2016, and clearly marked COLLECTION SERVICES BID. Bids will be considered valid until 180 days after the Bid Opening Date, although not accepted or rejected. A detailed Overview of the Invitations to Bid and Instructions to Bidders is contained in the Bid Documents. The City reserves the right to abandon the Joint Bid Process and to reject all Bids at any time.
