The work for the Water Pollution Control Authority, Water Pollution Control Facility – UV System Upgrade project consists of the following: 1. Demolish all mechanical and electrical components of the existing ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system including supporting hardware and davit crane. Electrical system demolition shall include removal and disposal of existing distribution system components to the extent necessary to support the installation of the new UV disinfection system. 2. Provide two (2) banks of UV disinfection systems and ancillary equipment, including but not limited to power distribution centers, system control center, cleaning system hydraulics, automatic level controller, water level sensor, UV transmittance sensor and controller, and davit crane lift system. The UV Disinfection System shall be furnished by the Contractor under an owner-negotiated bid allowance. 3. Provide electrical and instrumentation components to support the installation of the new UV disinfection systems, including but not limited to, transformers, distribution panels, breakers, disconnects, conduit, and wiring. 4. Provide terminations for all instrumentation and electrical systems, and coordinate system SCADA integration to be completed by the Engineer. 5. Provide start-up coordination, to include Owner training and all provisions of the Manufacturer warranty, with the Owner, Engineer, Electrical Contractor and Manufacturer.
